Hiduron stud bolts are manufactured to ASME B1.1 imperial UNC and to ISO 261 metric coarse pitch as standard. This page tables the full dimensional envelope across both series: diameter, thread series and pitch, pitch diameter, stress area and length range. Stress area values are geometric and match the standard ASME and ISO tables; combine with the alloy-specific 0.2 percent proof strength to compute working load capacity per size. Standard envelope runs M12 to M100 metric and 1/2 inch to 3 inch imperial. Larger sizes quote project-specific.

The imperial envelope above covers the ASME B1.1 UNC thread series for stud bolts cut to ASME B16.5 flange bolt-up requirements. Stress areas are geometric and match the A193 standard. Apply the Hiduron 0.2 percent proof to compute the working load capacity per size.

The metric envelope covers ISO 261 coarse pitch for stud bolts cut to EN 1515-1 flange make-up and ISO 4014 hex bolt blanks. Coarse pitch is the default for subsea, naval and petrochemical bolting where assembly speed and thread robustness govern. Fine-pitch series (ISO 262) is available on call-out where the design carries vibration or where the connector body wall thickness limits coarse-pitch thread engagement.

To compress quote turnaround, send the following block with the enquiry: (1) Hiduron grade (130 or 191); (2) thread series (UNC / metric coarse / metric fine); (3) stud nominal diameter and length; (4) end finish (cut-thread, rolled-thread, full-thread, double-end); (5) nut and washer requirement (matching grade, quantity per stud); (6) certification level (3.1 default, 3.2 on call-out, NACE on call-out); (7) surface treatment (bare-bright default; xylan/PTFE on call-out); (8) packaging and marking spec (loose, kitted, head-stamp call-out). With this block in hand TorqBolt typically returns a fixed quote within 48 hours for sizes inside the standard envelope.

The mapping above is the working procurement cross-reference for ASME, EN and API 6A flange classes in the 4 inch / DN100 nominal pipe size. The same logic extends to other pipe sizes per the respective flange standard. Hiduron grade selection (130 or 191) is independent of flange class and follows the service envelope per the selection matrix.
Q. What is the largest stud bolt diameter TorqBolt manufactures in Hiduron?
Standard envelope is M100 (metric) or 3 inch (imperial). Above that diameter we quote project-specific against forging-house availability of large-section Hiduron 191 billet. M120 and 4 inch sizes are achievable on a 14 to 18 week lead time.
Q. What thread series is standard on Hiduron stud bolts?
Metric coarse (ISO 261 / ISO 262 6g/6H tolerance) is the default for European and subsea procurement. UNC (ASME B1.1 2A/2B tolerance) is the default for US, oilfield API 6A and ASME B16.5 flange bolting. Both series are stocked across the standard size range; specify the series with the order.
Q. Why does the stress area on Hiduron studs match standard ASME tables?
Stress area is a geometric calculation based on thread diameter and pitch, not on alloy. Hiduron studs cut to ASME B1.1 unified inch threads have the same stress area as A193 B7 studs of the same size. The proof load capacity differs because Hiduron mechanicals differ from A193 B7, but the geometry table is identical.
Q. What is the longest stud bolt length TorqBolt manufactures?
Standard fastener length envelope is 600 mm on the metric side and 24 inch on the imperial side. Longer studs are available cut from round bar with custom thread on each end; specify the centre length, the threaded length each end, and the surface treatment.
Q. Are washers and nuts available in matching Hiduron grade?
Yes. Stud bolts ship with nuts (heavy hex per ASME B18.2.2 or DIN EN ISO 4032) and washers (flat per DIN 125 or ASME B18.22.1) in the same Hiduron grade as the stud. Specify the grade match on the order to avoid galvanic mixing in the make-up.
TorqBolt supplies Hiduron 130 (UNS C72400, DTD 900/4805) and Hiduron 191 (UNS C72420, NES 835, DEF STAN 02-835, DOD-C-24676) in round bar, stud bolts, hex bolts, heavy hex bolts, nuts, washers, forgings and machined components. Standard fastener lead time is 4 to 8 weeks from order, subsea machined components quote project-specific lead time. Send an enquiry through TorqBolt Contact with the controlling specification, the form factor, the size envelope and the certification level (3.1 default, 3.2 on call-out, NACE on call-out).
